18th edition of the Festival Jazz Ô Der at the Pôle Socio-Culturel de Montier-en-Der, with Big Bands, swing, blues, gypsy jazz, and boogie-woogie.
18th Edition - Jazz Ô Der 2025
The 18th edition of the Festival Jazz Ô Der was held from March 21 to 23, 2025, at the Pôle Socio-Culturel de Montier-en-Der. Three days of concerts allowed festival-goers to discover a rich and varied program, blending swing, blues, gypsy jazz, and boogie-woogie.
Friday, March 21 - 8:45 PM
Drew Davis Quartet: British saxophonist and singer Drew Davis, firmly established on the European scene, opened the festival with a swing inspired by the 40s and 50s rhythm'n'blues. Accompanied by César Pastre on piano, Xavier Niqki on double bass, and Kevin L'Hermite on drums.
Black Rooster Orchestra: A 10-musician formation blending the classic orchestration of a big band with the power of electric guitar and rock, for a 1.5-hour repertoire mixing covers and original arrangements.

Galaad Moutoz Orchestra feat Anna Stevens: An ensemble of eight musicians offering a swing reminiscent of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés clubs in the era of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, with one hundred original arrangements and personal compositions.
Big Boy Bloater & The Limits: English bluesman Big Boy Bloater, with a vocal tone reminiscent of Howlin' Wolf crossed with Tom Waits, accompanied by a six-musician band for a powerful and authentic blues.

Sinti Swing feat Costel Nitescu: Gypsy jazz with Romanian violinist Costel Nitescu, recognized as one of the best in the genre and who participated in the soundtrack of the film Django. Accompanied by Sébastien Félix and Nitcho Reinhardt on guitars and Esteban Félix on double bass.
Ladyva and her Train Boogie team: Pianist Ladyva, voted "Best Boogie Woogie Pianist" in 2017 and with over 100 million views on YouTube, accompanied by Drew Davies on saxophone, Xavier Niqki on double bass, and Kevin L'Hermite on drums.
