Festival of the New Lentil 2025

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the Verte Confrérie de la Lentille du Puy organized the Festival of the New Lentil in the historic center of Le Puy-en-Velay. This annual edition celebrated the arrival of the new harvest of Puy green lentil AOP, with producers and packagers offering tastings in all forms: salads, sausage and lentils, veloutés, and culinary creations.

The members of the Confrérie, in traditional green costumes adorned with Puy lace, livened up the day around Place du Plot and the adjacent streets. Culinary demonstrations, family activities, and sports challenges punctuated the program throughout the day. The producers' market showcased the entire Velay terroir.

The evening concluded with the traditional gastronomic meal bringing together the members of the Confrérie and lovers of Puy green lentils around a menu exclusively composed of this exceptional legume.
