Edition 2026 — Têtes en l'air
The 3rd edition of the Festival Têtes en l'air transforms Dax into a giant street theater from April 24 to 26, 2026. Program: carnival parade with 27 giants and 15 big heads, 150 Landes stilt walkers, street performances, bandas and batucadas, and the participatory creation of a giant wicker sculpture by Benoît Mousserion.

Festival Têtes en l'air 2026 — 3rd edition
The 3rd edition of the Festival Têtes en l'air returns from April 24 to 26, 2026 with an even more ambitious program. The festival brings together 27 giants, 15 big heads, 150 stilt walkers, musicians, and street artists in the streets of Dax.
Program
- Friday, April 24: luminous night parade with the giants of Dax welcoming their counterparts from Spain, Catalonia, and the Basque Country, LED show by the company Firelight
- Saturday, April 25: grand carnival parade with 27 giants, 15 big heads, bandas, and batucadas
- Saturday and Sunday: street arts performances, entertainment, and games
- Sunday, April 26: gathering of over 150 Landes stilt walkers for the closing
The artist Benoît Mousserion creates "Tourbillon", a giant wicker sculpture, during participatory workshops.
