Träce Festival: Emerging Stages in Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines

The Träce Festival holds a unique place in the festival landscape of Hauts-de-Seine. It is not a traditional festival concentrated over a few days in a single location, but an extended territorial system that runs from January to February in about twenty contemporary music venues in departments 92 and 78.

Mission: Spot and Support Emerging Artists

Led by Réseau 92 — the federation of contemporary music venues in Hauts-de-Seine — and Yvelive — its counterpart in Yvelines —, the Träce festival is above all a professional tool for developing artists. Its operation is simple but effective: emerging local bands are selected and programmed to perform as opening acts for confirmed artists during concerts in partner venues.

This format allows selected artists to:

  • Perform under professional conditions (quality sound, lighting, technical reception)
  • Access an audience already present to see a headliner
  • Benefit from the Träce network's visibility among local and regional programmers
  • Gain stage experience in varied contexts (intimate venues, large capacities)

A Dense Territorial Network

The festival's strength lies in its exceptional territorial coverage. Concerts take place in a large number of partner venues, from Gennevilliers to Rambouillet and from Saint-Germain-en-Laye to Issy-les-Moulineaux, covering a large part of the western Parisian suburbs. Among the participating venues are the Tamanoir in Gennevilliers, the Espace Culturel Robert Doisneau in Meudon, the Salle Daniel Féry in Nanterre, and the Théâtre La Piscine in Châtenay-Malabry.

Beyond Concerts: Comprehensive Support

The Träce festival is not limited to opening act concerts. Its support program also includes:

  • Concerts outside the walls: performances in libraries, prisons, community spaces
  • Open mic and freestyle hip-hop for artists from urban scenes
  • Artistic education activities in middle schools and with reintegration groups
  • Information and mentoring sessions for musicians looking to professionalize their approach

This comprehensive support distinguishes Träce from simple music showcases, making it a true tool for territorial cultural policy in favor of artistic diversity.

A Long History: Twenty Years of Spotting Talent

With over twenty years of existence, the Träce festival has supported many artists in their early stage careers. Some of them have since gained national or even international recognition, upholding the quality label of this pioneering initiative. Artists like Feloche, Toure Kunda, and many others have been featured in the festival's programming at different stages of their careers.

Träce — edition 2026

The Träce Festival returns from mid-January to mid-February 2026 in venues across Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines for its new edition of spotting and supporting emerging artists from the region.
