Culture in the Garden
Montigny Jardins is a festival that harmoniously blends culture and nature in the green spaces of Montigny-lès-Metz, a town awarded four flowers by the Villes et Villages Fleuris label, located near Metz. Every year in June and July, the municipality transforms its parks and gardens into open-air performance stages, offering residents and visitors free cultural evenings in a green setting.
Enchanting Friday Evenings
The festival takes place every Friday evening in June starting at 7 PM, taking over a different garden for each performance. The Jardin des Découvertes, the Jardin devant-Blory, the Jardin de la Piscine, and the Parc Europa-Courcelles host concerts, theater performances, dance shows, and family entertainment in turn. Each Friday offers a unique atmosphere, depending on the location and the program.
An Eclectic Program
The Montigny Jardins program mixes genres and styles to appeal to all audiences. Celtic music with harps and bodhráns, satirical theater, French variety concerts, and gospel shows follow one another throughout the Fridays. The 2025 edition concluded with a concert by Chimène Badi accompanied by a gospel choir and a brass ensemble at Parc Europa-Courcelles.
The Picnic in the Park
The festival traditionally concludes with the Picnic in the Park, a great moment of conviviality that brings together the residents of Montigny and visitors for a shared outdoor meal. This festive event, often held on a Sunday in early July, offers entertainment, music, and a bucolic atmosphere that marks the end of the season in style.

The Jardin des Découvertes, an educational and ecological garden, the Parc Europa-Courcelles, a vast space for relaxation and leisure, and the town's other gardens constitute a remarkable plant heritage, regularly recognized by the Villes et Villages Fleuris label.
A Free and Family-Friendly Festival
All Montigny Jardins events are free and open to everyone. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, with activities suitable for children and moments of intergenerational conviviality.
