Discovering the Farms of Meurthe-et-Moselle
Summer on the Farm in Meurthe-et-Moselle is a summer program that invites families to open the doors of 14 farms in the department. Organized by the Chamber of Agriculture of Meurthe-et-Moselle as part of the Bienvenue à la Ferme network, this event allows you to discover the richness and diversity of the Lorraine agricultural world in a friendly and educational atmosphere.
Activities for the Whole Family
Discovering Animals
The educational farms in the program welcome young and old for special encounters with farm animals: dairy cows, ponies, alpacas, goats, sheep, and poultry. Children can pet, feed, and observe the animals in their natural environment for an unforgettable moment of connection.
Workshops and Know-How
Each farm offers original activities adapted to its operation: pony rides and equestrian treks at the Écurie du Vermois, brewing workshops at the Brasserie Fermière La Troliotte, whisky blending at the Rozelieures distillery, discovery of the dairy sector at the Ferme Pédagogique du Breuillot, or a visit to the Maison de la Mirabelle.
Rides and Wide Open Spaces
Carriage rides, hay wagon rides, country walks in the Lorraine countryside, and equestrian shows complete the program. These activities allow you to enjoy the wide open rural spaces and the fresh country air of Meurthe-et-Moselle.
14 Farms to Discover
The program brings together various farms spread across the entire department: Ferme Pédagogique du Breuillot near Jarny, Brasserie Fermière La Troliotte in Les Baroches, Ferme Saint Amand, Les P'tits Loups, GAEC de l'Altiplano in Courcelles, La Ferme de Sandrine Antoine, Le Ménil Saint Michel, L'Écurie du Vermois in Burthecourt-aux-Chênes, the Whisky Rozelieures distillery, and the Maison de la Mirabelle.
A Committed Network
The Bienvenue à la Ferme network, supported by the Chambers of Agriculture, brings together farmers committed to welcoming the public and promoting short supply chains. Summer on the Farm is part of this initiative to bring the agricultural world and citizens closer together by offering authentic discovery moments on the farms.
