For its 10th anniversary, L'Antre de Jack is transforming the Château d'Hattonchâtel into a medieval fantasy Christmas market for two exceptional days on December 12 and 13, 2026. Artisans, mythical creatures, and a costumed atmosphere will bring this unique anniversary edition to life.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the L'Antre de Jack association is exceptionally opening the market over two days, from Saturday, December 12, 2026 (2:00 PM) to Sunday, December 13, 2026 (6:00 PM), at the Château de Hattonchâtel. Details regarding the entertainment (street performances, storytelling, craft demonstrations) have not yet been released by the organizer; they will be added as soon as they become available.

Getting there
The market is held at the Château de Hattonchâtel, 3 Rue du Château, 55210 Hattonchâtel (in the municipality of Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel).
- By car: From Verdun, take the D903 towards Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel and follow the signs for Hattonchâtel (approx. 30 km). From Metz, take the A4 motorway and exit at Fresnes-en-Woëvre. Please note: parking in Hattonchâtel is extremely limited. You must park in Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel (at the town hall car park) and use the free shuttle service.
- Free shuttle: A shuttle service runs between the Vigneulles town hall and the Château d'Hattonchâtel from 10 am to 8 pm, with regular round trips.
- By train: The nearest station is Verdun (TER Grand Est).
Opening hours
Normally, the market is a one-day event, usually held on the first Sunday of December, from 10 am to 7 pm. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the 2026 edition will exceptionally span two days, from Saturday, December 12th (2 pm) to Sunday, December 13th (6 pm).
Admission
Admission is completely free. Visitors are warmly encouraged to come in costume (medieval or fantasy) to enhance the event's immersive atmosphere.
Food and drink
Mulled wine, mead, hot chocolate, and other warm beverages are available to keep you cozy. Food stalls offer medieval specialties along with a variety of sweet and savory treats.
The Château d'Hattonchâtel
Perched on a promontory in the Côtes de Meuse, this Troubadour-style castle provides a magical setting for this unique Christmas market. While you are there, don't miss the breathtaking panoramic view of the Woëvre plain from the castle gardens.

Rebuilt in the early 20th century in a neo-Gothic troubadour style by American patron Miss Belle Skinner, it offers a romantic and enchanting architectural backdrop that perfectly suits the event's fantastic medieval theme.
