International festival of Latin dances: salsa, bachata, and kizomba
The Rainbow Festival Nancy is a unique event in the French dance scene. Designed as a "3 in 1" festival, it brings together the three major disciplines of Latin and Afro-Latin dance in one place: salsa, bachata, and kizomba. For four to five days in December, the Salle des Fêtes de Gentilly transforms into a huge dance floor welcoming dancers of all levels from across Europe.
Each edition, the Rainbow Festival offers over 50 workshops (classes and training sessions) led by internationally renowned artists and instructors in their respective disciplines. The workshops cover all levels, from beginner to advanced, allowing everyone to progress, discover new styles, and share their passion. Workshops take place simultaneously in several rooms, offering a remarkable diversity of content.
The Rainbow Festival evenings are the beating heart of the event. Four nights of dancing (plus three pre-parties) are scheduled, hosted by internationally acclaimed DJs specializing in salsa, bachata, and kizomba. Shows and performances by guest artists punctuate the evenings, offering moments of spectacle and emotion. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan, warm, and inclusive, true to the "rainbow" spirit that gives the festival its name.
Since its creation in 2019, the Rainbow Festival Nancy has carved out a place on the European map of Latin dance festivals. It attracts participants from many countries—France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and beyond—and contributes to Nancy's reputation as a cultural and festive destination. The festival is also an economic driver for the city, with participants staying for several days.
The Rainbow Festival Nancy announces its 2026 edition from December 10 to 14 at the Salle des Fêtes de Gentilly. The detailed program, guest artists, and ticketing will be announced during 2026 on the festival's official website.
