Rock and beer at the heart of brewing heritage

Maxéville, a commune in the Nancy metropolitan area, boasts a rich brewing heritage inherited from its industrial past. It is on this historic Brasseries site, at 33 rue des Brasseries, that the Rock'N Bock Festival takes place every September, a successful marriage between rock music and craft beer.

A festival rooted in local history

Created in 2016, Rock'N Bock is organized by the City of Maxéville in partnership with the Union des Brasseurs du Grand Est, Olavach, and SCIC Turbullance. The festival aims to promote the unique architectural heritage of the former breweries and to offer an original festive event in the Nancy metropolitan area.

Outdoor rock concerts

Rock'N Bock offers an energetic and eclectic musical program with a dozen bands spread over two days:

  • Saturday: 7 continuous concerts, from independent rock to punk, including garage rock and blues-rock
  • Sunday: 5 concerts in a more relaxed atmosphere, ideal for families

All concerts are free.

Twenty craft breweries to discover

The festival hosts about twenty craft breweries from the Grand Est region, offering a wide selection of local beers: IPA, stout, white, amber, blond, seasonal beer, and original creations. It's an opportunity to discover the richness of the Lorraine brewing landscape and to meet the passionate brewers of the region.

Gastronomy and entertainment

Food trucks accompany the beer tasting with a varied food offering. Sunday offers a program of family entertainment: creative workshops, games, and activities for children, allowing the whole family to enjoy the festival.

A remarkable heritage site

The Brasseries de Maxéville site, with its 19th-century industrial architecture, provides a unique and authentic setting for the festival. The old brewery buildings, converted into a cultural and event space, bear witness to the brewing past of Maxéville and the Meurthe valley.
