Since 2017, the small town of Bambiderstroff, nestled between Faulquemont and Saint-Avold in Moselle, hosts the Bambi Metal Fest every year. This community event, driven by the Dear Hunters association, has established itself as a must-attend for metal music fans in the Lorraine mining basin.

100% Metal, 100% Free

The philosophy of Bambi Metal Fest is based on two pillars: a 100% metal lineup and completely free entry. This rare combination allows all extreme music enthusiasts to enjoy a night of live concerts without financial constraints, in a spirit of sharing and musical discovery.

A Diverse Lineup

The Bambi Metal Fest lineup explores the different facets of metal:

• Death metal and thrash metal: bands like Mercyless, Chabtan, or Nihilism have electrified previous editions.
• Alternative metal and hardcore: groups like Voorhees, Mindpatrol, or Slapdown represent the genre's diversity.
• Emerging bands: the festival offers a showcase for up-and-coming bands from the regional scene.

The Village Hall, an Ephemeral Metal Temple

The Bambiderstroff village hall, located at 34 rue du 3 juin, transforms into a metal concert venue for one night. This intimate capacity creates a unique closeness between the musicians and the audience, offering a raw and authentic concert experience that contrasts with larger festivals.

The Dear Hunters Association

The Dear Hunters association is the driving force behind Bambi Metal Fest. Composed of metal-loving volunteers, they work throughout the year to organize this event and promote metal culture in Moselle. The work of these volunteers makes it possible to maintain free entry thanks to revenue from the bar and food stands.

Camaraderie and Good Cheer

Beyond the music, Bambi Metal Fest is above all a moment of camaraderie. The bar and food stalls allow festival-goers to eat while chatting with fellow enthusiasts. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the festival makes it an accessible event even for newcomers curious to discover the world of metal.

A Growing Festival

Since its first edition in 2017, Bambi Metal Fest has seen steady growth, from a few dozen spectators to several hundred festival-goers. The 7th edition in 2025 testifies to the vitality of this event, which continues to attract a loyal and enthusiastic audience.
