Viking Festival of Rocroi 2024 — The Battle of Rocroi

The 2024 edition of the Viking Festival was held from July 5 to 7, 2024, on the Place d'Armes in Rocroi. More than 350 combatants from France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, and other European countries invaded the fortified town for three days of battles, tournaments, and Viking festivities.

Two armies of 200 warriors clashed in spectacular battles on the square. The regicide tournaments, bridge battles, duels, and glíma competitions punctuated the days. The medieval market hosted artisans offering jewelry, leather goods, weapons, and Viking-inspired items. The historical encampments were continuously animated. The Saturday evening dancing party brought together combatants and visitors in a festive atmosphere.
