The Fête d'Étueffont: Sous-Vosges conviviality in the spotlight

Étueffont (90170) is a commune in the north of the Territoire de Belfort, nestled in the foothills of the Vosges, about fifteen kilometers from Belfort. This village of about 1,700 inhabitants benefits from an exceptional natural setting between wooded hills, streams, and meadows typical of northern Franche-Comté. The Festival Committee and the association La Récréactive

The festival is organized jointly by the Comité des Fêtes d'Étueffont and the association La Récréactive, a collective of passionate volunteers who work throughout the year to create events for the village's children and families. This collaboration gives rise to a particularly rich day of festivities, combining youth activities, intergenerational conviviality, and musical entertainment.

Thanks to the involvement of these volunteers, the festival benefits from well-honed organization: site decoration, setting up food stalls, arranging games and activities for children, and coordinating the evening. The town hall of Étueffont, located at 1 Place de la Mairie, provides logistical and financial support.

A festive program for all ages

The Fête d'Étueffont usually begins in the early afternoon and continues late into the night. The program happily blends the simple pleasures of an authentic village festival:

• Sports tournaments: pétanque open to all, football, badminton, or other activities depending on the editions
• Festive catering: community refreshment stand with grills, sausages and fries, sandwiches, cold drinks, and local specialties prepared by volunteers
• Convivial meal: at community prices, allowing families to share a moment around an outdoor table
• Musical entertainment and ball: concert or DJ in the evening to get young and old dancing until the end of the night

Étueffont, a village between nature and heritage

Located in the Rupt valley, Étueffont is surrounded by coniferous and deciduous forests characteristic of the western slopes of the Vosges. The village has remarkable architectural heritage with its church and its pink sandstone houses. The village hall, located at 26 Bis Grande Rue, is the nerve center of community life and the preferred gathering place during the annual festival.

The commune is also known for its walking trails that crisscross the surrounding heights, with clear views of the Alsace plain on clear days. The festival is the ideal opportunity for hikers and families to combine a forest walk with the conviviality of the village.
