Molène Sea Festival 2026

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, the island of Molène celebrates its traditional Sea Festival, organized by the SNSM station of Île-Molène. An unmissable August 15th event in the archipelago, this festival combines a religious dimension, a tribute to lost sailors, and popular festivities on the port.

The day opens with mass and then the blessing of the sea on the quay. The rescue boats from neighboring stations (Le Conquet, Ouessant) then set sail to lay a wreath in memory of those lost at sea. The rest of the day is punctuated by numerous activities: on-site catering, sale of SNSM clothing and items, raffle, an afternoon concert followed by an evening concert from 9 PM, fireworks at dusk, and music until 2 AM.

For this edition, helicopter baptisms are also offered, with tickets on sale on the island (Proxi grocery store and Au Vent des Îles restaurant).

Saturday, August 15, 2026 — on the port of Molène

• Morning — Mass followed by the blessing of the sea on the quay
