Every June 21st, the city of Drancy brings its residents together at Parc de Ladoucette to celebrate the Fête de la Musique in an exceptional green setting. This landscaped park, home to the elegant 18th-century Château de Ladoucette, offers a romantic and unexpected backdrop for a day of music and outdoor celebration.

The unique aspect of Drancy's Fête de la Musique is that it is organized almost entirely by the Conservatoire municipal de musique, de danse et d'art dramatique de Drancy. Students, ensembles, and choirs from the conservatory are featured throughout the day, making this event a showcase for local amateur music-making and a tribute to municipal artistic education.

A Program from the Château to the Main Stages

The day begins gently with Music Salons at the château, intimate piano, harp, and theater performances offered in the salons of Château de Ladoucette from 2 PM to 5 PM. These chamber concerts in a historic heritage setting give a special atmosphere to the event and allow for the discovery of classical repertoire in elegant natural acoustics.

In the park's alleys, small musical interventions under the trees occur throughout the afternoon, allowing families and strollers to encounter musicians and ensembles on the move. These informal concerts create an enchanted atmosphere in the park and foster encounters between residents and artists.

The Grand Percussion Parade

One of the most anticipated highlights of the Fête de la Musique in Drancy is the percussion parade organized by the conservatory, which musically connects the Hôtel de Ville to the park's Théâtre de Verdure. This festive procession brings together the conservatory's percussion students in a rhythmic procession that animates the streets of Drancy and carries the celebration to the heart of the park.

In the evening, the main stage set up behind the château hosts the most important musical groups: Chœur et Mouvement offers a choral concert at the Théâtre de Verdure, followed by a concert by the conservatory's musical ensemble, before the spectacular closing with the group Music Plus, presenting a "Star 80" variety show — a musical journey into the 1980s that gets young and old dancing until 10 PM.
