About Fête de la Musique in Le Robert
Every June 21, Le Robert, on the Atlantic coast of Martinique, celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival). Organized by the Office Municipal de la Culture et des Loisirs du Robert, the evening is entirely free and usually takes place outdoors, by the sea, on Place des Cités Unies.
The Fête de la Musique in Le Robert
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the commune of Le Robert into an open-air stage every June 21. On Martinique's Atlantic coast, music freely takes over public spaces for an evening, in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere, facing the Bay of Le Robert.
A festival by the sea
Usually, the festival takes place outdoors on Place des Cités Unies, by the sea, a lively meeting point in the town center. Organized by the Office Municipal de la Culture et des Loisirs du Robert, the evening highlights local artists and groups and the music of Martinique.
