Edition 2025 — Saint-Cochon de Saint-Père

2025 edition of the Fête de la Saint-Cochon in Saint-Père, organized in early March. Demonstrations of artisanal charcuterie, tastings of black pudding, pâtés, and rillettes, local producers' market, and a shared traditional meal in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

Fête de la Saint-Cochon - 2025 Edition

The Fête de la Saint-Cochon was held in early March 2025 in the village of Saint-Père (89450), at the foot of Vézelay. True to the Burgundian peasant tradition, this edition brought together locals and visitors around ancestral charcuterie know-how.

The live demonstrations of black pudding making, head cheese preparation, and bacon curing were greatly appreciated by young and old alike. The producers' market allowed visitors to leave with quality artisanal products: charcuterie, cheeses, gingerbread, and Vézelien wines.

The day concluded with a grand communal traditional meal, accompanied by local wines, in the village's community hall, in a convivial and festive atmosphere typical of Burgundian peasant festivals.
