Fête du Safran 2024 — The Renewal
The 2024 edition of the Fête du Safran was held on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2024 in Cajarc. Les Safraniers du Quercy aimed to bring a breath of fresh air to this emblematic festival, while preserving the traditional activities that define it.
Among the new features: a Lot craft fair, in partnership with the Chamber of Trades, bringing together about twenty artisans, each having created a work inspired by the saffron flower or spice. Culinary demonstrations by Monique Valette allowed the public to discover and taste saffron-based preparations.
The program also included the traditional guided saffron field visits, the producers' market from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, conferences on the cultivation and history of Quercy saffron (2:00 pm-6:00 pm), musical entertainment, and the saffron banquet on Sunday lunchtime, which brought together 250 guests.

- 10:00 am - 6:30 pm: Producers' market and craft fair
- 10:30 am: Guided saffron field visit (departure from the tourist office)
- 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Conferences on saffron cultivation and history

Sunday, October 27
- 10:00 am - 6:30 pm: Producers' market
