Every July 13th, the town of Sevran (93270) transforms Parc Louis-Armand into a popular festival space to celebrate the eve of the National Day. This large landscaped park in the heart of the town is the setting for a friendly, intergenerational ball that perpetuates the republican tradition of the July 14th popular ball.
The 2025 edition highlighted dance with the participation of La Fée du bal, an orchestra of six instrumentalists and a singer offering a "Happy Bal" program combining the great classics of 20th-century dance: swing, charleston, rock'n'roll, blues, waltz, cha-cha-cha, salsa, pop, and disco. A costumed septet accompanied by a dance couple invited the public of all ages to discover ballroom dancing through joyful and accessible initiations.
The particularity of the Sevran ball is its resolutely inclusive and festive nature. The initiations offered by the dancers allow beginners to join in without apprehension, while regulars happily rediscover the atmosphere of the great popular balls of yesteryear. Conviviality is at the heart of the event: people come with family, as a couple, or with friends to share the joy of dancing together.
