Edition 2026 — Fêtes de Villeneuve
Patronal Festivals 2026
From Friday, July 31 to Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Villeneuve-de-Marsan, a village in the Landes Bas-Armagnac region renowned for its bullrings and bullfighting tradition, celebrates its annual patronal festivals. Five days of festivities to the rhythm of bandas, with Landes races, encierros, bullfighting derby, flower parade, sports tournaments (rugby, tennis, pétanque), barathlon, foot race, association meal, local producers' day, and popular dances in bodegas.
Festival Bullfight — Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 7 PM
A highlight of this edition, the mixed bullfight on Tuesday, August 4, honors French breeding: bulls from the Olivier Fernay y sus Hijas ranch (Jandilla bloodline), selected here for the first time. On the bill: matadors Antonio Ferrera and Solal, as well as French novillero Clovis. The mixed bullfight revives a format absent from the bullrings since 2011, with a prize rewarding the best banderillero.
The detailed day-by-day program will be specified by the Festival Committee closer to the event.
