Feuilles d'Automne is the emblematic book fair of Marvejols, organized every autumn by the Jules Roujon Gévaudan Media Library. This event concludes a literary week rich in meetings and workshops, making Marvejols a key cultural hub in Lozère during November.

A Literary Week in Gévaudan

Throughout the week preceding the fair, guest authors lead workshops in the schools of Marvejols and Gévaudan. These privileged encounters between creators and students help raise young people's awareness of reading, writing, and illustration.

Authors in the Spotlight

Each edition highlights several authors. In 2024, the fair welcomed Pauline Comis and Marc Lizano as main guests. In 2023, Emilie Vanvolsem, Manu Causse, and Henri Clément were the star authors, offering workshops and signings throughout the day.

The Sunday of the Fair

On Sunday, the multi-purpose hall of the Esplanade de l'Europe hosts the fair itself, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors will find stands from local bookstores — Papyrus, Le Rouge et le Noir, Le Pré aux Livres — as well as exhibitors offering novels, comic books, children's books, regional documentaries, manga, and educational games.

Activities for Everyone

The fair offers a varied program of activities: signing sessions, creative workshops for children, literary games, and meetings with authors. A refreshment area run by the parents' association ensures a convivial atmosphere for the day.
