Electronic and instrumental experiences in an organic setting
Since 2018, the Loire's Ondes festival has established itself as a must-attend event for the electronic and instrumental music scene in Loire-Atlantique. Founded by a group of music-loving friends united within the AFLO association (Association Festival Loire's Onde), the event celebrates music, art, and the Loire region with strong values of sharing, proximity, and generosity.
The first edition took place on March 31, 2018, at the Espace Alexandre Gautier in Varades (commune of Loireauxence), featuring five local groups — The Fabulist, Les Si Music'all, Charly Blues, Graceful, and Mr Cornelius — for a free evening with a pop, rock, and electro vibe. The festival then evolved to be held in the prestigious courtyard of the Château d'Ancenis, where for several years it hosted an increasingly ambitious program mixing jazz, funk, house, and techno. In 2025, Loire's Ondes took a new step by leaving the castle to move to the Parc de Sculptures Monumentales de Mouzeil-Teillé, a wild and mystical setting offering an even more immersive three-day experience with camping.
Each edition offers a carefully selected program, blending local talents and artists recognized for their uniqueness. The festival highlights the best of the local jazz, funk, and house scene while opening up to diverse musical horizons:
Among the artists who have marked past editions: St Germain, Nu Guinea, Chaos in the CBD, Laurence Guy, Murphy, Bambi, Tom Leclerc, Flora, Chyneski, Hyper Jacuzzi, Fasme, Ireke, and Jay Airiness.
Beyond music, Loire's Ondes celebrates art in all its forms. A space for exchange hosts local artists and craftspeople in the afternoon who share their creations: flowers, textiles, design, illustrations. Food trucks and a bar complete the offering for a full festive experience. The Heron, the festival's iconic mascot, symbolizes the deep connection between the event and its Loire region territory.
Since 2025, the festival has reinvented itself by moving to the Parc de Sculptures Monumentales, located on the border between Mouzeil and Teillé. This green setting, populated by monumental outdoor sculptures, offers a unique natural and artistic backdrop for three days of music, with camping included in the festival pass. The format has been enriched with programming from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, including themes like the Solstice (2025) and dedicated days like the Full Dub Day.
The 2026 edition of the Loire's Ondes festival will take place from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the Parc de Sculptures Monumentales in Mouzeil-Teillé (Loire-Atlantique). Three days of electronic and instrumental experiences in an organic setting, with camping included in the pass. The 2026 lineup unveiled by the organization includes: Will Guthrie, Hanaka, Bandicoot Hifi, Flora, Téléphone Kale, Adhémar, Slimewestern, and a total of about twenty artists. HelloAsso ticketing is open (early bird sold out, regular price currently available).
