A summer of music on the Chalon terraces

Garçon la Note ! was born in 2015 from an initiative by the Chalon-sur-Saône Tourist and Convention Office, with a simple and appealing idea: to take over the terraces of bars and restaurants to offer free concerts throughout the summer. In ten editions, the festival has become a must-attend summer event, popular with locals and tourists alike.

A unique concept: one evening, one terrace, one concert

The principle of Garçon la Note ! is based on a magical formula: 1 evening, 1 terrace, 1 concert. Each performance is a unique moment, in a different location. Festival-goers reserve their table with the establishment, settle on the terrace, and let themselves be carried away by the music. From vintage rock to swing jazz, from cosmic blues to Latin salsa, including French song and folk, the programming is broad and emphasizes original compositions.

A festival that shines throughout the Grand Chalon

While Chalon-sur-Saône remains the heart of the festival, Garçon la Note ! spreads out each year to neighboring towns: Givry, Rully, Fontaines, Saint-Jean-de-Vaux, Épervans, Saint-Rémy, and Sevrey host the musicians in turn. This itinerancy makes the festival a true tool for promoting the region and its businesses, creating a special link between artists, restaurateurs, and the public.

Ten years of discoveries and conviviality

Celebrating its 10th edition in 2025, Garçon la Note ! has proven that live music doesn't need big stages to touch hearts. Hundreds of artists have performed on the Chalon terraces, offering countless moments of grace at dusk.
