550th Anniversary of the Papal Bull
In 2025, as Saint John the Baptist's Day does not fall on a Sunday, there was no Grand Pardon in the strict sense. However, the Association du Grand Pardon and the parish of Saint-Jean-Baptiste organized commemorations for the 550th anniversary of the papal bull of Sixtus IV, signed on February 8, 1475.
The program included a vigil at the Notre-Dame du Rosaire church on February 1, 2025, as well as a conference on the papal bull of Sixtus IV presented by Élisabeth Charron, director of departmental archives, at the Bouchardon auditorium on February 7, 2025.
