A Festival Born from a Passion for Games

The Jeux & Vien Festival was born from the dynamic created by the opening of the Vi & Vien community space in Cossé-le-Vivien. A group of board game enthusiasts meets there every month, on a Friday evening, to share their passion. From these regular evenings, the idea of a festival open to all emerged, to introduce the rich and varied world of modern board games to as many people as possible.

A Game Bar with 400 Titles

The heart of the festival is its impressive game bar, set up in the FCC hall in Cossé-le-Vivien. Nearly 400 board games are made available to visitors free of charge:

  • Family Games: Azul, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, and other classics accessible from age 6
  • Strategy Games: Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, 7 Wonders for experienced players
  • Party Games: Werewolf, Codenames, Dixit for evenings with friends
  • Cooperative Games: Pandemic, The Crew, and other games where you win together
  • Children's Games: Special selection for the youngest with dedicated activities on Saturday morning

Tournaments and Activities

The weekend program is punctuated by numerous activities and competitions:

  • Papayoo Tournaments: A friendly competition centered around this popular card game
  • Code Name Tournament: Team-based challenges around this word association game
  • Giant Werewolf Games: Animated sessions to discover or rediscover this great classic
  • Discovery Workshops: Volunteers present and explain new games throughout the weekend
  • Young Public Activities: Playful activities specially designed for children on Saturday morning

A Free Event Open to All

The Jeux & Vien Festival is completely free and requires no prior registration. Visitors can come freely, sit at a table, choose a game from the bar, and play for as long as they wish. Passionate volunteers are present at all times to explain the rules and assist new players.
