Meslay-du-Maine Christmas Market

A family-friendly and convivial Christmas market

The Meslay-du-Maine Christmas Market has become a must-attend event at the end of November for the residents of the town and its surroundings. Organized by the Association des Parents d'Élèves (APE) of public schools, this solidarity and festive event takes place over two days, Saturday evening and Sunday, on the Place du Marché in the town center.

Artisans, creators, and gift ideas

About twenty exhibitors are gathered to offer a varied selection of products and creations:

• Local crafts: jewelry, candles, handmade Christmas decorations, wooden objects
• Local products: jams, honey, foie gras, sweet and savory specialties
• Original gift ideas: textile creations, artisanal soaps, books, and toys
• Christmas trees: sale of trees to prepare for the holidays at home

Santa Claus visits

The highlight of the weekend, Santa Claus makes one of his very first outings of the season in Meslay-du-Maine. Present throughout the weekend, he welcomes children and adults to collect their letters and wishes. A magical moment that makes the eyes of the little ones shine and delights families.

Catering and conviviality

The APE offers a fast food service directly at the market, allowing visitors to eat in a warm atmosphere:

• Fresh oysters for seafood lovers
• Galettes-saucisses and crepes to delight young and old
• Mulled wine, coffee, and confectionery to warm up

The shops in Meslay-du-Maine also open their doors during the market, contributing to the liveliness of the town center.

A solidarity event

The profits from the market are donated to the APE to finance school activities and outings for children in the public schools of Meslay-du-Maine. By participating, visitors directly support local school life, giving this event a solidarity dimension appreciated by all.
