About Christmas Market of Angers
Consistently ranked among the ten most beautiful Christmas markets in France, the Angers Christmas Market brings together over a hundred wooden chalets in the heart of the city center every year. From late November to late December, local artisans, designers, and producers offer gift ideas, gourmet specialties, decorations, and handcrafted jewelry across Place du Ralliement, Rue Lenepveu, and Place du Pilori.

The Christmas Market of Angers returns in November 2026 for a new magical edition. Over 100 chalets of crafts and gourmet specialties will illuminate the heart of the city, on Place du Ralliement, Rue Lenepveu, Place du Pilori, and Place Molière.
Programme Christmas Market of Angers 2026
The market, from November 25th to December 30th, 2026
- Sunday to Thursday — 11 am – 8 pm
- Friday — 11 am – 10 pm
- Saturday — 11 am – 11 pm
- Thursday, December 24th — 11 am – 6 pm (special hours)
- Friday, December 25th — 3 pm – 8 pm (special hours)
Over 100 wooden chalets located at place du Ralliement, rue Lenepveu, and place du Pilori.
Entertainment
- Magical performances — every Friday and weekend throughout the market.
- Creative workshops for children — every Wednesday and weekend at the Salons Curnonsky.
- Santa Claus — Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays (until December 24th), from 3 pm to 7 pm (1 pm – 5 pm on Wednesday, December 24th), in his chalet at place Sainte-Croix: free photos and reading of letters dropped in the mailbox next to his house.
All activities are free and open to everyone; some (creative workshops) are reserved for children. The day-by-day schedule for the magical performances (concerts, shows) for the 2026 edition has not yet been updated on the organizer's website; it will be added as soon as it is published.

The Angers Christmas Market: A Must-Visit Event
The Angers Christmas Market is regularly ranked among the ten most beautiful Christmas markets in France. Organized by 2A Organisation, an event management company founded in 1998, it gathers over a hundred wooden chalets in the heart of Angers' historic center each year as part of the Soleils d'Hiver festivities.
A City Center Trail
The market spreads across Place du Ralliement, the beating heart of the city, along Rue Lenepveu, and onto Place du Pilori. This festive route invites visitors to stroll through a warm atmosphere, filled with Christmas lights and the scents of mulled wine and regional specialties.
Crafts and Gastronomy from the Grand Ouest
The market chalets showcase local craftsmanship and products from the Grand Ouest region: handmade jewelry, decorative items, artisanal creations, wooden toys, textiles, scented candles, and many other treasures. On the culinary side, visitors can enjoy regional delicacies such as crêpes, waffles, hot chocolate, mulled wine, fouaces angevines, rillauds, and other seasonal treats.
Entertainment and Events
The Angers Christmas Market also offers entertainment throughout the season: magical performances on Fridays and weekends, creative workshops for children on Wednesdays and weekends, and a visit from Santa Claus in his chalet at Place Sainte-Croix. Late-night openings on Fridays and Saturdays extend the magic into the evening.
