Les Nuits de Nacre 2024: The Final Edition
From June 28 to 30, 2024, Tulle hosted the 36th and final edition of Les Nuits de Nacre. After more than three decades of existence, Tulle's historic accordion festival bid farewell in an atmosphere that was both festive and nostalgic. This edition brought together about thirty groups from around the world, including Irish-Scottish and American ensembles.
Concerts took place throughout the city center: in the squares, bars, and restaurants, and at the Cité de l'Accordéon et des Patrimoines. Despite the financial difficulties that led to the organizing association's cessation of activities, this final edition was a magnificent tribute to the festival's history and Tulle's attachment to the accordion. The large audience emotionally acknowledged this turning page in Tulle's cultural history.
