The festival of shows for children at the Parc Floral de Paris
Les Pestacles was born in 2005 from the City of Paris's desire to offer families a free, high-quality summer cultural event in the heart of the Parc Floral. The name, a playful contraction of "petits" (little ones) and "spectacles" (shows), perfectly captures the spirit of the festival: shows designed for children, in a format adapted to their attention span and sensitivity.
Every Wednesday from June to September, the Parc Floral hosts a different show for children aged 1 to 10 years old. The carefully curated program blends music, theater, puppets, storytelling, dance, and circus arts. The invited artists are professionals in young audiences' entertainment, recognized for their creativity and ability to captivate the youngest.
The shows generally last between 45 minutes and an hour, an ideal format for children. They take place in the early afternoon on the Deltaplane stage, amidst the gardens of the Parc Floral. Families can sit freely on the lawn, often bringing a snack or picnic.
Music plays a central role in the Pestacles program. Whether it's revisited nursery rhymes, original songs, jazz for children, world music, or sound explorations, each show is an invitation to musical discovery. Artists often involve children, inviting them to sing, dance, clap, or play with instruments, making each performance an interactive and joyful moment.
The Parc Floral de Paris offers an exceptional natural setting for these open-air performances. Families can enjoy the gardens, playgrounds, and picnic areas before and after the shows. Les Pestacles is part of the Parc Floral's trio of summer music festivals, alongside the Paris Jazz Festival and Classique au Vert.
The new season of Pestacles unfolds at the Parc Floral de Paris from Wednesday, June 24 to Wednesday, September 2, 2026, with 8 free musical shows for young audiences, with one event every Wednesday at 2 PM or 2:30 PM on the Delta stage. On the program: musical tales, creations for young audiences, and concerts adapted for children aged 4 and up, in a natural setting in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes.
For their 2026 season, Les Pestacles offers 8 shows spread from June 24 to September 2, 2026 at the Parc Floral de Paris. Scheduled every Wednesday afternoon on the Delta stage, the shows are primarily aimed at children aged 4 to 6 and older, accompanied by their families, in a short format (45 minutes to 1 hour) adapted to their attention span.
The 2026 program opens on June 24 with bülbül by LEÏ, followed on July 1 by En direct de la récré by Reno Bistan. The month of July continues with Cette nuit une chouette m'a dit by Morgane Le Cuff (July 8), Un Chat Botté by Marie Piemontese & Florent Trochel (July 15), and Bestiole Blues Bazar by the Compagnie Une Chanson Tonton (July 22). After a summer break, the festival resumes on August 19 with Amalia by the Compagnie des Xylophages, then the Harmattan Brothers on August 26.
