Le Toboggan Market: Free and Creative Craftsmanship

The highlight of Christmas in Malakoff is the Le Toboggan Christmas Market, traditionally held in the final days before the holidays. This market brings together local creators and artisans offering handmade crafts, textiles, illustrations and comics, art objects, and decorations. Admission is free, and workshops, concerts, and activities are organized to enrich the visitor experience.

A Market Rooted in Cultural Life

The Le Toboggan market stands out for its relaxed atmosphere and its deep connection to Malakoff's cultural life. The featured creators are often local artists or those close to the town, and the market provides an opportunity to discover their worlds in a warm and friendly setting. Live music accompanies visitors throughout the day, transforming the venue into a vibrant living space.

The Creators' Market

At the beginning of December, Malakoff's Maison de la Vie Associative (MVA) hosts the Creators' Market, which brings together artisans with diverse skills for a weekend. Jewelry, ceramics, books, illustrations, and design objects fill the MVA spaces to offer a range of original gift ideas for the holidays.

A Town Committed to Culture

Malakoff has long developed an ambitious cultural policy, including the Malakoff Scène nationale — Théâtre 71, one of the most renowned national stages in the Parisian suburbs. The Christmas markets naturally fit into this cultural dynamic, combining craftsmanship, live art, and conviviality in a town attached to its popular and creative identity.

The 2025 Edition

For December 2025, Malakoff offered two distinct events:

• Malakoff Creators' Market — December 6th and 7th, 2025, at the Maison de la Vie Associative, from 10 am to 7 pm.
• Le Toboggan Christmas Market — December 19th and 20th, 2025, at 11 avenue du Président-Wilson, from 3 pm to midnight on Friday and from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday. Handmade crafts, textiles, illustrations, art objects, concerts, activities, and workshop visits. Free admission.

The 2026 Edition

The next edition of the Malakoff Christmas markets is expected in December 2026, following the town's festive tradition. Both markets are expected to again offer crafts, creations, and musical entertainment to close the year in a convivial atmosphere.
