Far from the standardized markets, Malakoff focuses on local talent, authentic craftsmanship, and human connection to offer residents and visitors unique moments before the holidays.

The Toboggan Market: Free-Spirited and Creative Crafts

The flagship Christmas event in Malakoff is the Toboggan Christmas Market, traditionally held in the final days before the holidays. This market brings together local creators and artisans offering handmade goods, textiles, illustrations, comics, art pieces, and home decor. Admission is free, and the experience is enriched by studio tours, concerts, and various activities.

A Market Rooted in Cultural Life

The Toboggan market stands out for its relaxed atmosphere and its deep connection to Malakoff's cultural scene. The exhibitors are often local artists or those with close ties to the town, offering a chance to discover their work in a warm and friendly setting. The Creators' Market

In early December, the salle Jean-Jaurès in Malakoff hosts the Creators' Market, bringing together a wide range of artisans over a single weekend. Jewelry, ceramics, books, illustrations, and design objects are on display, offering a palette of original gift ideas for the festive season.

The 2025 Edition

For December 2025, Malakoff featured two distinct events:

• Malakoff Creators' Market — December 6 and 7, 2025, at the salle Jean-Jaurès (11 avenue Jules-Ferry), from 10 am to 7 pm.
• Toboggan Christmas Market — December 19 and 20, 2025, at 11 avenue du Président-Wilson, from 3 pm to midnight on Friday and from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday. Featuring handmade creations, textiles, illustrations, art objects, concerts, entertainment, and studio tours. Free admission.

The 2026 Edition

As of mid-August 2026, the City of Malakoff had not yet published the dates for the 2026 edition; official event pages were still displaying the 2025 dates. Both markets are expected to return in December 2026 following the same format.
