The Montrouge Christmas Village: the magic of the holidays in the heart of the city
Every year at the end of November, the Place Émile-Cresp in Montrouge transforms into an authentic Christmas Village. For two days — Saturday and Sunday — the town's central square hosts exhibitors, artisans, and activities to offer Montrouge residents and visitors an enchanted interlude before the end-of-year holidays.
The Montrouge Christmas Village is part of the tradition of Advent markets that flourish every year in the towns of Hauts-de-Seine. Organized by the City of Montrouge, each edition brings together numerous exhibitors offering artisanal products, original creations, gift ideas, and seasonal gourmet specialties.
A rich program for all ages
The Montrouge Christmas Village aims for a convivial and festive atmosphere, accessible to the whole family. Discovering the wooden chalets where artisans showcase their creations — jewelry, decoration, textiles, art objects — is combined with gourmet pleasures: mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, and other winter delights.
Activities for children
The market traditionally features creative workshops, street performances, and encounters with Santa Claus, much to the delight of children. Place Émile-Cresp offers an ideal setting for these festivities, in the heart of a dense and lively city.
Privileged access from Paris
Montrouge's geographical location, on the southern edge of Paris, facilitates access to the market from the capital. Metro line 4 directly serves the Mairie de Montrouge station, a few minutes' walk from Place Émile-Cresp. The Christmas Village thus benefits from significant attendance, attracting both residents of Montrouge and visitors from Paris and neighboring towns.
The 2025 Edition
The Montrouge Christmas Village 2025 took place on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, 2025, on Place Émile-Cresp. The event brought together local exhibitors around artisanal creations, gourmet products, and festive activities. Entry was free and open to all.
The 2026 Edition
The next edition of the Montrouge Christmas Village is expected at the end of November 2026, following the annual tradition. The market should once again take over Place Émile-Cresp with its decorated chalets, artisans, family activities, and gourmet specialties to prepare for the holidays in the best atmosphere.
