« Athis sous les sapins » : the Christmas village of Athis-Mons
Every late November, Place Jean Jaurès in Athis-Mons (91200) transforms into a Christmas village under the pretty name of « Athis sous les sapins ». This Christmas market, organized by the City of Athis-Mons, brings together carefully selected exhibitors for two days and offers festive entertainment for the whole family. The city of Athis-Mons, bordering the Seine north of Essonne and facing Orly airport, offers its approximately 35,000 inhabitants a warm and friendly winter event.
Illuminated chalets and quality crafts
The heart of the Christmas market consists of illuminated wooden chalets, carefully arranged on Place Jean Jaurès. The exhibitors — artisans, creators, and producers — offer carefully selected quality items: artisanal jewelry, original Christmas decorations, textiles, accessories, handmade toys, local products, and gourmet specialties. The sparkling garlands and light decorations create a magical atmosphere that transforms the square into an enchanted setting as night falls.

The City of Athis-Mons is committed to maintaining a high quality standard for its Christmas market. Applications for exhibitors are open to local and regional artisans, creators, and producers, with rigorous selection to ensure the authenticity and originality of the stands. Application files must be sent before the end of August to the city hall's event address, ensuring careful preparation of the event.
