Médiévales de Brignoles 2025 – August 15 to 17
The Médiévales de Brignoles 2025 took over the historic center of the town on August 15, 16, and 17, for the Assumption Day weekend. Several thousand visitors answered the call to travel through time, discovering a striking reenactment of medieval life in the cobbled streets of the old town.
Professional companies specializing in historical reenactment set up their encampments from Friday evening, populating the town with knights, ladies of the court, artisans, merchants, and all sorts of period characters. Place Carami and the surrounding medieval streets hosted the main activities: equestrian jousts, knightly combat, demonstrations of medieval crafts (blacksmithing, illumination, pottery, shoemaking), and concerts of ancient music.
Fantastic creatures added a magical and spectacular dimension to the event: fire-breathing dragons, winged fairies, and other imaginary beings amazed the children and piqued the amused curiosity of the adults. Youth activities – medieval games, calligraphy workshops, treasure hunts in costume – engaged families throughout the weekend.
