The Christmas Markets of Saint-Cloud: Parish Tradition and Conviviality

Each year, as the end-of-year holidays approach, the town of Saint-Cloud is adorned with a festive and warm atmosphere thanks to its Christmas markets. The town traditionally organizes several Christmas events, including the emblematic parish markets held in the crypt of the Stella Matutina church, at 68 avenue du Maréchal-Foch.

The Stella Matutina Crypt: A Unique Setting

The crypt of the Stella Matutina church offers an exceptional setting for a Christmas market: its vaulted spaces, dim lighting, and unique acoustics create an intimate and contemplative atmosphere, which pleasantly contrasts with the hustle and bustle of outdoor markets. It is in this warm cocoon that exhibitors set up their stalls to offer visitors a fine selection of artisanal and gastronomic products.

A Festive Program Over Several Weekends

The parish of Saint-Cloud organizes its markets over several slots at the end of the season:

First Market: Late November

The first market takes place in late November. The opening evening on Friday features a convivial wine and cheese evening with a wine auction, bringing together parishioners and fine wine enthusiasts in a festive atmosphere. On Saturday and Sunday (11 am-6 pm), the market itself opens, with activities for children and a talent exchange.

Second Market: Early December

A second market is held in early December, over two days (Saturday 10 am-7 pm, Sunday 10 am-6 pm). Exhibitors offer handmade jewelry, selected wines and spirits, fine foods, original gifts, Provençal nativity figures, and Christmas decorations.

Saint-Cloud, An Exceptional Town

Saint-Cloud benefits from an exceptional setting with its famous Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, a historic 460-hectare park overlooking the Seine valley. The town, residential and with a strong commercial fabric, attracts visitors from all over western Paris for its cultural and festive events. The parish Christmas markets are part of this dynamic, complementing the town's festive offerings.

The 2025 Edition

Saint-Cloud offered two parish Christmas markets:

• First Market — Friday, November 28 to Sunday, November 30, 2025. Friday 28: wine and cheese evening with wine auction (registration required). Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 (11 am-6 pm): market, children's activities, and talent exchange.
• Second Market — Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3, 2025 (Saturday 10 am-7 pm, Sunday 10 am-6 pm). Jewelry, wines and spirits, fine foods, gifts, nativity figures, Christmas decorations.

The 2026 Edition

The 2026 Christmas markets of Saint-Cloud are expected in late November and early December in the Stella Matutina crypt, following the parish tradition. The two festive weekends will continue the warm formula that has made these markets successful for many years.
