Montbo'Zic: Rock along the water in Montbozon

The Montbo'Zic Festival was born in 2019 on the enchanting site of the nautical base of Montbozon, on the banks of the Ognon river, in Haute-Saône. Supported by the Comité des fêtes de Montbozon, this musical event was created with the desire to offer a festive and accessible gathering for all rock enthusiasts in the department and beyond.

A festival tailored for rock

Montbo'Zic's uniqueness lies in its programming entirely dedicated to rock in all its forms. Each edition features four bands from the regional scene, with a preference for cover bands and tributes that pay homage to the legends of the genre: Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Dire Straits, U2, Muse, Alain Bashung... The choice of these bands helps to unite a multigenerational audience, from classic rock fans to contemporary alternative rock fans.

An exceptional natural setting

The PAN nautical base site (Point d'Accueil Nautique) in Montbozon offers an idyllic setting for an open-air festival. Nestled on the banks of the Ognon, an emblematic river of Haute-Saône, the location combines nature, coolness, and conviviality. Festival-goers can enjoy the concerts with their feet in the grass, facing a stage set up by the water, in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere.

An accessible and friendly event

Montbo'Zic focuses on accessibility: with a very affordable entrance fee (5 euros in advance, 7 euros on site, free for children under 12) and a free drink upon entry, the festival appeals to all audiences. On-site, two bars and food stalls offer beers, wines, soft drinks, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, and ice cream, with particular attention paid to local suppliers and vegetarian options.

Steady growth since 2019

Since its creation, the festival has built a loyal and growing audience. Each edition confirms Montbo'Zic's place in the cultural landscape of the Ognon valley, with a simple but effective concept: one evening, four bands, rock music, and good cheer by the river. The festival also supports solidarity causes, such as the association Team Eth'oile de Cristal.
