Montbo'Zic: rock by the water in Montbozon

The Montbo'Zic Festival was born in 2019 on the enchanting site of the Montbozon nautical base, on the banks of the Ognon river, in Haute-Saône. Supported by the Comité des fêtes de Montbozon, this musical event was created with the aim of offering a festive and accessible gathering for all rock lovers in the department and beyond.

A festival tailored for rock

The particularity of Montbo'Zic lies in its program entirely dedicated to rock in all its forms. Each edition features four bands from the regional scene, with a predilection for cover and tribute bands that pay homage to the legends of the genre: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Dire Straits, U2, Muse, Alain Bashung... The choice of these formations allows for uniting a multi-generational audience, from classic rock enthusiasts to fans of contemporary alternative rock.

An exceptional natural setting

The site of the PAN (Point d'Accueil Nautique) nautical base in Montbozon offers an idyllic setting for an open-air festival. Nestled on the banks of the Ognon, an emblematic river of Haute-Saône, the location combines nature, freshness, and conviviality. Festival-goers can enjoy concerts with their feet in the grass, facing a stage set up by the water, in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere.

An accessible and friendly event

Montbo'Zic focuses on accessibility: with a very affordable entry fee (7 euros in pre-sale, 10 euros on site, free for children under 12) and a free drink offered at the entrance, the festival caters to all audiences. On site, two bars and food stalls offer beers, wines, soft drinks, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, and ice creams, with particular attention paid to local suppliers and vegetarian options.

Steady growth since 2019

Since its creation, the festival has managed to retain a growing audience. Each edition confirms Montbo'Zic's roots in the cultural landscape of the Ognon valley, with a simple but effective concept: one evening, four bands, rock music, and good vibes by the river. The festival also supports charitable causes, such as the association Team Eth'oile de Cristal.
