Swingamor: The Swing Event of Franche-Comté

Swingamor is the swing dance festival organized by the B.Lindy association in Morré, a small town located five minutes from Besançon in the Doubs region. Every autumn, this intensive weekend brings together swing enthusiasts from all over France and Europe to share their love for dance and jazz music.

A Rich and Varied Program

The festival offers a complete program structured around several key areas:

• Dance Workshops: Lindy Hop (levels 1 to 4), Balboa, and Shag classes are taught by three internationally renowned professional dance couples.
• Thematic Workshops: Workshops exploring musicality, choreography, and the links between jazz dance and popular culture.
• Conferences: In 2025, a conference on the theme "Jazz dance and Hollywood" explored the connections between jazz dance and classic Hollywood cinema.
• Grand Swing Balls: Evenings are enlivened by a live swing jazz orchestra, such as the famous Hot Swing Sextet.

Three Venues in the Heart of Morré

The festival takes place in three locations in the town of Morré: the sociocultural hall, the town hall, and the school building. This setup allows for multiple class levels to be held simultaneously and creates an intimate and warm atmosphere, far from large, impersonal festivals.

A Festival Accessible to All Levels

Swingamor is for complete beginners as well as experienced dancers. Passes are flexible, ranging from a "single evening" pass to a "4 classes" pass, allowing everyone to tailor their weekend according to their desires and level. B.Lindy members receive a 20% discount on all passes.

The Swingamor Spirit

Beyond the classes and balls, Swingamor fosters a spirit of conviviality and sharing. Local partners offer fresh, regional products for catering, and the association provides information on nearby accommodations. The festival is also a meeting point for the Besançon swing community and dancers from all over France.
