Swingamor
Swing and Jazz Dance Festival in Morré
2026
About Swingamor
Swingamor is the swing dance weekend hosted by the B.Lindy association in Morre, just five minutes from Besançon. Every autumn, two days of tiered lindy hop and solo jazz workshops, led by guest professional dancers, culminate in a Grand Swing Ball featuring a live jazz band. Classes are held across three local venues, and the ball is open to everyone via a separate evening pass.
Swingamor — edition 2026
Swingamor returns to Morre on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th, 2026, for two days of lindy hop and solo jazz. Classes will be taught by Chloé and Guillaume (Paris/Geneva), Lola & Bérenger (Paris), and Idrissa (Marseille), across four lindy hop levels and two solo jazz levels held in three local venues. On Saturday night, the Grand Bal Swing will feature live music from the Swing Up Orchestra, followed by a DJ set by Bérenger until 2 AM. Registration is now open.
2026 Edition
On October 3rd and 4th, 2026, B.Lindy brings together two teaching couples, a solo dancer, and a swing orchestra in Morre. Each lindy hop level includes two 2-hour sessions, one on Saturday and one on Sunday; each solo jazz level includes two 1.5-hour sessions. All instructors are French-speaking.
The Artists
- Chloé and Guillaume (Paris/Geneva): Competitors and teachers who focus on listening, musicality, and the joy of dancing. Guillaume grew up immersed in jazz, with parents who were swing teachers; Chloé developed her style in Parisian dance halls and European festivals.
- Lola & Bérenger (Paris): They dance both socially and in competitions, with a focus on musicality and momentum. Both are active members of different performance troupes.
- Idrissa (Marseille): Specializing in lindy hop and solo jazz, both as a lead and follow. He taught for eight years in Lyon, launched the first classes in Southern Lozère, and organizes the Lozère Swing Escapade. As a teacher, he emphasizes the connection to the music.
- The Swing Up Orchestra: A band formed in Lyon in 2018 for the local swing dance community, later joined by singer Lou Rivaille. They have released two albums: "Hop, Skip and Jump" (2019) and "Get Rhythm" (2022), the latter featuring singer Kriss Koyazounda.
New for 2026: Performance Workshop
A one-hour session led by Idrissa, available as an add-on to any pass for €10: participants will put together a short solo choreography to be presented to the public during Saturday night's Grand Bal Swing.
Levels
- Lindy 1: For those already taking regular classes who know the basic 8-count, 6-count, and charleston steps, along with a few variations. This is not a beginner's course.
- Lindy 2: Over one year of regular classes and consistent social dancing.
- Lindy 3: Several years of social dancing, comfortable with fast tempos, and looking for new variations.
- Lindy 4: Several years of social dancing and multiple workshops per year, aimed at exploring new concepts and improvisation.
- Solo jazz 1: Introduction to solo jazz, no prerequisites.
- Solo jazz 2: To further develop rhythm and groove.
The organizer asks that you check the level compatibility in the program before building your pass.

Swingamor: The B.Lindy Swing Weekend
Swingamor is organized by B.Lindy, a lindy hop association founded in Besançon in March 2016. The group hosts weekly classes, monthly masterclasses, and three workshops or festivals annually, including Swingamor, which takes place in the autumn in Morre, in the Doubs department.
Two days of tiered workshops
The weekend features lindy hop classes across four levels and solo jazz across two, with each level having sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. Instructors are professional French-speaking dancers invited specifically for the event. Passes are flexible: lindy hop only, solo jazz only, both, a switch option for those who lead and follow, or an evening-only pass for the ball. B.Lindy members receive a 20% discount on all passes, and a reduced rate is available upon request for those facing financial hardship, no proof required.
A ball with a live band
On Saturday night, the Grand Swing Ball is headlined by a live jazz orchestra, followed by a DJ set.
Three venues in Morre
The festival utilizes the community hall, the town hall, and the school hall. The town hall and school are adjacent, while the community hall is located further away, requiring a vehicle to travel between them.
On-site amenities
B.Lindy partners with local artisans for Saturday lunch, Sunday brunch, and Saturday night pizza. The association also manages a notice board for homestays, where local dancers from Besançon offer accommodation to participants traveling from afar.
