Nine days of exceptional concerts dedicated to the trumpet and brass, in the heart of Mulhouse
The Mulhouse International Trumpet Festival brings together the world's greatest trumpet players, emerging young talents, and prestigious ensembles for nine days of exceptional programming, blending classical music, jazz, chamber music, and participatory projects throughout the city.
From July 15 to 23, 2026, Mulhouse will host the second edition of the International Trumpet Festival, a unique event in France dedicated to the richness and diversity of the trumpet and brass instruments.
For nine days, the festival will take over the city's iconic venues – including the Temple Saint-Étienne, Église Sainte-Geneviève, Église Sainte-Marie, the Mulhouse Conservatory, and Parc Salvator – to present a series of exceptional concerts featuring some of the most renowned artists on the international stage.
The program creates a dialogue between great classical repertoire, jazz, early music, contemporary creation, and world music. Highlights include performances by Reinhold Friedrich, Selina Ott, Éric Aubier, Marc Geujon, Gábor Tarkövi, Robin Paillet, and the Haïdouti Orkestar at the closing concert.
Organized by the Académie Internationale de Trompette de Mulhouse (AFIT) in conjunction with its academy, and supported by the Orchestre National de Mulhouse, the festival champions an approach to music that is both rigorous and accessible, fostering connections between artists, local residents, amateurs, and enthusiasts from all over Europe.
The 2026 edition reaffirms the ambition of the Mulhouse International Trumpet Festival to become one of Europe's premier events dedicated to brass instruments.
This year, the festival welcomes a host of internationally renowned artists, promising young talents, and the Orchestre National de Mulhouse. The program explores every facet of the trumpet through symphonic concerts, recitals, jazz performances, brass ensembles, and participatory projects.
The festival kicks off with Brass Spectacular, a grand festive evening featuring the OSM Brass, Éric Aubier, and Marek Zvolánek, and concludes on a high note with the Haïdouti Orkestar during the Jeudis du Parc.
