Open-air jazz in the heart of Niort
Since its creation in 2021, the Niort Jazz Festival has established itself in just a few editions as a major jazz event in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Located in the magnificent Pré-Leroy park, in the center of Niort, the festival benefits from an exceptional natural setting between historical heritage and lush greenery, on the banks of the Sèvre niortaise.
The festival is structured around two complementary stages. The main paid stage, located on the esplanade near the swimming pool, hosts international headliners for evening concerts. The free stage, nestled on the banks of the Sèvre, highlights the new generation of jazz, blues, and soul talents. This setup allows for combining artistic excellence and accessibility.
In just a few editions, the Niort Jazz Festival has welcomed world-renowned artists: Rhoda Scott, Thomas Dutronc, the Belmondo Quintet, Sandra Nkaké, Angélique Kidjo, Morcheeba, and Selah Sue. The program embraces all facets of jazz, blues, and soul, from living legends to contemporary revelations.
The event is organized by the Jazz à Niort association, which works to promote jazz and improvised music in the Niort region, with the support of the City of Niort and Niort Agglo. Each edition offers 15 concerts over three themed evenings, including 9 with free access, in a friendly and festive atmosphere that attracts an increasingly wide audience.
