Noël à Pau: The Magic of the Holidays in the Heart of the City

Noël à Pau is the major end-of-year festive event organized by the City of Pau. From late November to early January, the city center transforms into a sparkling festive village that attracts over 3 million visitors to the streets of the Béarnais city each year.

Four Christmas Markets in the Heart of the City

The Christmas markets are spread across four iconic sites in the city center: Place Clemenceau, Boulevard d'Aragon, the Esplanade de Vigny, and the south of Place Royale. Over 40 vendors offer a varied selection of gourmet and artisanal products in their wooden chalets: regional specialties, handcrafted items, gift ideas, and Christmas flavors. The chalets are open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.

A Magical Christmas Village

Place Royale hosts the Christmas Village, the true festive heart of the event, with an enchanted forest, magical bubbles, Santa's House where children can drop off their wish lists, and a sleigh for souvenir photos. A Ferris wheel installed on Place George V offers panoramic views of illuminated Pau.

Festival of Lights and Fireworks

On December 13th, the Festival of Lights illuminates the streets of Pau with a magical light show followed by fireworks. The shop windows compete in creativity, the scents of churros, roasted chestnuts, and hot chocolate fill the streets, creating a unique festive atmosphere.

The Immersive Experience of Le Hédas

New for 2025: from December 12th to January 4th, a paid immersive space is set up in the historic district of Le Hédas, offering a magical experience in the heart of one of Pau's most picturesque neighborhoods. Children's entertainment, an electric train, and play areas complete the festive offerings.
