Pelouses Sonores: Live Music by the Rhine
Pelouses Sonores is one of the flagship events of the Contre-temps festival, organized by the association Dodekazz since 2004. Every June, this day of free live open-air concerts transforms the Jardin des Deux Rives — a cross-border park connecting Strasbourg and Kehl — into a vast open-air musical space, where families, students, and music lovers gather on the lawns for a festive and relaxed afternoon.
A Friendly and Accessible Format
From 3 PM to 10 PM, Pelouses Sonores offers an eclectic program mixing live concerts by local, national, and international artists. The artistic approach favors discovery and diversity: fusion jazz, funk, world music, hip-hop, afrobeat, independent rock, and hybrid creations follow one another on stage in a spirit of openness and musical curiosity.
An Idyllic Setting by the Rhine
The Jardin des Deux Rives provides an exceptional green setting for this event. Spanning both sides of the Rhine, connected by the Mimram footbridge, this Franco-German park symbolizes Strasbourg's European vocation. Spectators can freely settle on the lawns, enjoying the June sun, the view of the river, and a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
More Than a Concert: An Experience
Beyond the music, Pelouses Sonores offers a complete sensory experience: a bar and street food, open-air shiatsu massage sessions, relaxation areas, and activities for children. The event is designed as a moment of intergenerational sharing, accessible to all thanks to free admission.
Pelouses Sonores forms a complementary duo with Pelouses Électroniques (DJ sets), with both events generally held on the same weekend to offer two days of open-air music at the Jardin des Deux Rives.

Les Pelouses Sonores return on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the Jardin des Deux Rives in Strasbourg, from 3 PM to 10 PM, for a day of free outdoor live concerts. This edition's program includes: Almost Rose (modern disco and Strasbourg pop groove), Echoes of Prince (big band tribute to Prince, in homage to the singer's birthday), and Leopard DaVinci & friends (funk, electro, afrobeat). The event, organized by the Dodekazz association as part of the Contre-temps festival, also offers food trucks, a refreshment stand, and shiatsu massage sessions at a free price.
Pelouses Sonores 2026 — Free Live Concerts at Jardin des Deux Rives
For this new edition, Pelouses Sonores once again takes over the Jardin des Deux Rives in Strasbourg on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 3 PM to 10 PM. This day of free outdoor live concerts is part of the pre-festival program of the Contre-temps Festival (21st edition), and along with Pelouses Électroniques, it constitutes one of the highlights of the opening weekend (June 6 and 7, 2026).
A groovy lineup of disco, funk, and a tribute to Prince
The 2026 edition brings together three highly complementary live acts, under the guidance of Mr E (aka Eli) for hosting and DJ interludes:
- Almost Rose (Strasbourg) — Local group blending modern disco and synthetic pop groove, between sparkling brilliance, softness, and dark lyricism. Coming to promote their album Act Normal.
- Echoes of Prince (Paris) — A tribute to Prince performed by a twelve-musician big band, led by Moroccan singer Malca. The project revisits great classics as well as lesser-known gems from Prince's repertoire, from funk to rock. Symbolic date: June 7 is Prince's birthday.
- Leopard DaVinci & friends (Strasbourg, B.M.M. / Off Records) — Return to Les Pelouses in a 3D version of his new tracks. The artist plays three synthesizers simultaneously and navigates between funk, electro, afrobeat, and disco.
A Franco-German setting and a family day
Stretching on both sides of the Rhine and connected by the Mimram footbridge, the Jardin des Deux Rives offers a rare green setting for this event, which feels like a musical picnic. On site: food trucks, a refreshment stand, relaxation areas, children's games, and shiatsu and anma massage sessions at a free price all afternoon.
A complete musical weekend
Les Pelouses Sonores forms a duo with Pelouses Électroniques on Saturday, June 6 (DJ sets and 100% female Wom·xorama evening), to offer two days of free outdoor music before the main Contre-temps festival kicks off from June 16 to 28, 2026 in Strasbourg's squares, parks, and clubs.
