There is something profoundly coherent about seeing a punk festival born and flourishing in Montreuil. Long nicknamed 'the red city', Montreuil has always been a territory of resistance, alternative culture, and artistic effervescence. It is in this fertile ground that the association Guerilla Asso planted the seeds of This Is My Fest in 2013, a punk and indie rock festival that has since become an institution of the Parisian alternative scene.

A DIY Festival, from Start to Finish

This Is My Fest proudly proclaims its values: DIY (Do It Yourself), accessibility, diversity, and independence. Far from commercial profitability logic, the festival relies on the authenticity and commitment of its volunteer organizers to offer three days of punk rock, hardcore, pop punk, and indie concerts in human-scale venues.

The programming alternates between discovering young local and national bands, developing artists, and some more established names from the international scene. This generational and geographical mix is a trademark of the festival: here, a band of high school students from Montreuil can rub shoulders with a group from the United States or the United Kingdom.

Three Days Non-Stop

Over three days, usually in the spring, This Is My Fest offers a dense program: several bands per evening, extended hours, and an underground concert hall atmosphere reminiscent of the best moments of the New York and London scenes. Craft beer, band merch, and exchanges between fans and musicians inside or outside the venue are an integral part of the experience.

A Vibrant and Diverse Scene

What sets This Is My Fest apart from other festivals of its kind is its attention to the diversity of sub-genres: melodic punk rock, brutal hardcore, catchy pop punk, atmospheric post-punk, artisanal indie rock... All these aesthetics are represented, creating a program that satisfies both purists and curious individuals seeking new discoveries.

The festival is also attentive to the representation of female artists and groups from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the values of a punk scene that has always been, at its best, a space for inclusion and questioning norms.

Since 2013, This Is My Fest has helped make Montreuil an essential reference for the punk and indie scene in Île-de-France. By attracting bands and festival-goers from all over the region and beyond, the festival has contributed to the creation of a true alternative musical ecosystem around the city. Rehearsal rooms, independent record labels, DIY labels, and other cultural associations revolve around this event that structures and animates Montreuil's alternative cultural life.
