Vendred'Issoire: The festive summer in the heart of Issoire

Since 2014, Vendred'Issoire has transformed the center of Issoire into a popular and friendly party spot every summer Friday evening. From late June to late August, from 7 PM to 11:30 PM, Boulevard de la Manlière, Rue Gambetta, and Rue de la Berbiziale come alive with concerts, night markets, and bustling café terraces.

A Festive and Family Concept

Each Friday evening is organized around a different theme that sets the tone for the evening: disco night, 60s, Auvergne traditions, game night, and many more. This summer after-work concept appeals to a wide, intergenerational audience, from families with children aged 3 and up to night owls seeking a festive atmosphere.

Concerts, Markets, and Entertainment

The program for each Friday includes:

• Free concerts: Local bands and artists perform outdoors in the pedestrian streets of the city center
• Night markets: Between 40 and 60 exhibitors offer local crafts, regional products, and local creations
• Open shops: Downtown shops remain open until 9 PM
• Lively terraces: Cafés and restaurants on Boulevard de la Manlière welcome Issoire residents and visitors in a relaxed atmosphere
• Themed entertainment: Parades, workshops, street performances, and activities for children

L'Yssoirienne: Charity Race

The first Vendred'Issoire of the season traditionally hosts L'Yssoirienne, a 5 km charity race organized by Kiwanis « Courir à Issoire pour un enfant ». The 2024 edition brought together over 2,000 participants, confirming the event's unifying and charitable dimension.

Remarkable Popular Success

With over 10,000 people in the streets every Friday, Vendred'Issoire has become the unmissable summer event in Issoire. The event contributes to the commercial and cultural dynamism of the city center and the influence of Issoire in the south of Puy-de-Dôme.
