Live Performance at the Heart of Puy-de-Dôme Villages

Created in 1995 under the name Les Automnales, this cultural season of the Departmental Council of Puy-de-Dôme became Impulsions in 2022 to reflect a new artistic direction and an expanded territorial focus. For nearly three decades, this initiative has brought live performance to the heart of the department's rural communes, with a constant ambition: to make culture accessible to all, everywhere in Puy-de-Dôme.

A Multidisciplinary Program

Each season, Impulsions offers around thirty performances covering all disciplines of live performance: theater, music, dance, circus, and puppetry. The program is designed to reach all audiences, from the youngest to the oldest, with accessible and high-quality shows. Performances take place in about fifteen living areas, reaching over 70 communes in the department.

A Partnership with the Territories

The Department works in close partnership with communes, intercommunalities, and local associations to host performances in municipal halls, gymnasiums, and unique venues. This collaboration helps to culturally irrigate the entire Puy-de-Dôme territory, including the most rural areas and those furthest from major performance venues.

A History of Nearly 30 Years

Since its creation in 1995, the cultural season has welcomed over 116,000 spectators. After 28 editions under the name Les Automnales, the program was renamed Impulsions in 2022 to mark a new momentum and expand the programming to the entire cultural season, from October to May. This evolution reflects the Department's desire to offer an enriched and ambitious cultural offering over a longer period.

Affordable Prices

True to its mission of cultural democratization, Impulsions offers very accessible prices: tickets at €10 and €6, with free admission for all under 15s and middle school students. This pricing policy helps remove financial barriers to accessing culture and reaches a large and diverse audience.
