No 2026 edition announced
As of August 16th, 2026, no 2026 edition of the Afrodom Festival has been announced. As of February 7th, 2026, the official website afrodomfestival.com was limited to a FAQ line stating "Paris – France" as the location and "June 2026" as the date. No specific dates, artist names, site maps, or ticketing options were provided, with corresponding sections marked as "coming soon." The site's title and the countdown on its homepage still referred to the June 2025 edition. No updates were noted after February 2026, and the site has been inaccessible since mid-August 2026.
An Afro-Caribbean festival launched in 2025 at La Villette
The Afrodom Festival is organized by the Afrodom association, which presents it as a Parisian hub for Afro and Caribbean music: afrobeats, afro pop, amapiano, dancehall, shatta, zouk, gouyad, compas, hip-hop, soca, and bouyon. It was held at the Paris Event Center, a 25,000 m² venue located at 20 avenue de la Porte de la Villette, featuring two stages, food trucks, a basketball court, and a wellness area.
The 2025 edition: dates, lineup, and events
The first edition was initially announced for June 7th and 8th, 2025, dates that still appear in the official website's legal notices and various cultural agendas. The organizers later announced a postponement to June 28th and 29th, 2025, at the same venue.
The announced lineup featured around thirty international and national artists across two stages, including Capleton, Beenie Man, Oxlade, Innoss'B, Dadju, Admiral T, Kamo Mphela, Singuila, Libianca, T-Sia, Senyss, and DJ Kawest. According to franceinfo, the postponement was accompanied by significant changes to the lineup.
Still according to franceinfo, the Parisian event began with a five-hour delay, and several announced artists did not perform because they had not been paid. The same media outlet linked the Afrodom Festival organizer to other cancelled or modified events in Châteauroux and Poitiers.
A pending refund dispute
A petition launched on July 18th, 2025, on Change.org, titled "Exigeons le remboursement du festival AFRODOM" (Demand a refund for the AFRODOM festival), calls for ticket refunds; it had gathered approximately 1,200 verified signatures by mid-August 2026. Reports published on the platform signal-arnaques.com as of January 3rd, 2026, indicate that while some refunds were promised via email, they were never processed, and mention a collective complaint filed by several ticket holders. No public information regarding the outcome of these efforts has been found since that date.
