A festival born from shared passions

The Agatha Festival was born from the meeting of several enthusiasts: electronic music lovers, event professionals, and communication independents, all united within the AGATHA association. Their common ambition: to create a festive, accessible, and multidisciplinary event rooted in the Mayenne department. In June 2023, the first edition took place at the Domaine du Denais, an exceptional fifteen-hectare site located in Saint-Denis-d'Anjou, between Le Mans and Angers. Titled "The Quest for Quetzalcoatl", this inaugural edition took the audience on an imaginary journey to Central America, in search of the Aztec deity who created the sun and the moon.

A natural setting for multiple stages

The festival unfolds across a fifteen-hectare green domain, offering a rustic and immersive outdoor setting ideal for an event. Several stages are spread across the site, each dedicated to a specific musical genre. The centerpiece is the Dub Stage, powered by the Fox In Dub sound system, which immerses festival-goers in the deep bass and characteristic echoes of dub culture. A natural amphitheater also hosts live performances, while relaxation areas, food stalls, and entertainment complete the experience.

An eclectic and committed program

Agatha Festival boasts a resolutely eclectic program, bringing together around forty artists on its various stages. Dub holds a central place with figures such as Mac Gyver (Stand High Patrol), Fabasstone (High Tone, ZenTone, Dub Invaders), M-Syla, and Roll and Record. But the lineup also opens widely to rock, rap, reggae, electro, hip-hop, and pop, offering a rich and accessible musical panorama. The festival showcases both emerging artists from the local scene and established names from the French independent scene.

A friendly and alternative spirit

Beyond the music, Agatha Festival cultivates a friendly and alternative spirit. The site offers a camping area included in the ticket price, food and drink stalls, as well as various activities throughout the weekend. The AGATHA association upholds values of openness, sharing, and discovery, which are reflected in the festival's warm atmosphere. With a deliberately limited capacity—around 1,200 places—the festival prioritizes proximity between the audience and the artists, creating an intimate and immersive experience far from large mass events.

Agatha Festival — edition 2026

Third edition anticipated for Agatha Festival. The AGATHA association is expected to continue its contemporary music festival in Mayenne with an eclectic program centered around dub, electro, rock, reggae, and hip-hop. Dates and exact location are yet to be confirmed.

3rd Edition — 2026

The AGATHA association is preparing the third edition of the Agatha Festival, expected in the spring or summer of 2026. After two successful editions at the Domaine du Denais, the festival is expected to continue its growth with an ever-eclectic program, focusing on dub, electro, rock, reggae, and hip-hop.

Details of the lineup, precise dates, and the location for this third edition will be announced later on the association's official website and social media.
