The Ajaccio International Comic Strip Festival is a major comic strip event in Corsica. Created in 2002 by the Case e Bulle association, it is held annually at the Palais des Congrès d'Ajaccio, usually in early November, over three days. In 2026, the 24th edition will take place from November 6 to 8.
Ajaccio International Comic Strip Festival
The Ajaccio International Comic Strip Festival (Festa di a BD corsa) has become, over the editions, an unmissable event for the 9th art in Corsica and the Mediterranean. Created in 2002 by the Ajaccio-based association Case e Bulle, it welcomes several thousand visitors each autumn to the Palais des Congrès d'Ajaccio, on the port, right in the city center.
Three days of comic strips at the Palais des Congrès
The festival spreads over nearly 1,000 m² of exhibition space at the Palais des Congrès, a few steps from the Gulf of Ajaccio. For three days, the public meets around thirty authors from Corsica, the mainland, and abroad: signing sessions, exhibitions, conferences, drawing workshops for young audiences, and animation film screenings punctuate the weekend.
A program open to contemporary creation
Each edition highlights the worlds of prominent authors — over the years, the festival has notably hosted Lewis Trondheim, Christophe Arleston, and the creators of Donjon Crépuscule, Trolls de Troy, or Le Grimoire d'Elfie — and organizes several thematic exhibitions. The official awards of the festival honor several albums each year (jury prize, public prize, youth prize).
Strong Corsican roots
Supported by the Collectivité de Corse, the Ville d'Ajaccio, and the Communauté d'agglomération du Pays Ajaccien, the Ajaccio International Comic Strip Festival is a key player in the island's cultural life. It also regularly promotes Corsican comic strip creation alongside national and international guests.

The 24th edition of the Ajaccio International Comic Strip Festival takes place over three days at the Palais des Congrès d'Ajaccio (Quai L'Herminier), from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, 2026. The event is organized by the association Case e Bulle.
Program for the 2026 edition
Several exhibitions have already been announced, notably focusing on the worlds of Donjon Crépuscule, Trolls de Troy, and Le Grimoire d'Elfie. Comic strip workshops for young audiences are also on the agenda, as well as the traditional signing sessions, conferences, and screenings.
List of authors
The official list of authors invited to the 24th edition will be unveiled by the organization in September 2026. As every year, about thirty authors from Corsica, mainland France, and abroad are expected.

On foot from Ajaccio city center. By car: parking in the city center (port car parks, Diamant car park). By plane: Ajaccio-Napoléon Bonaparte airport (approx. 7 km, bus line n°8 to the city center). By boat: Ajaccio ferry terminal in the immediate vicinity of the Palais des Congrès.
