This is the 44th edition of Corsica's oldest and most emblematic themed fair, celebrating the Corsican chestnut and the island's traditional know-how.
The 44th edition of « A Fiera di a Castagna » will take place on December 4, 5 and 6, 2026 in Bocognano, in the department of Corse-du-Sud. Created in 1983 by the rural association « U Castagnu », this fair is the oldest themed fair in Corsica: it structured the Corsican chestnut industry from the 1980s onwards.
Each year, the event brings together nearly 150 exhibitors under a heated marquee of 3,000 m² and attracts between 12,000 and 15,000 visitors. The flagship product remains chestnut flour, alongside cheeses, cured meats, jams, honeys, wines and liqueurs, as well as island crafts (cutlers, potters, cabinetmakers, wooden toys, etc.).
A gastronomic highlight: the tasting of « a pulenta », chestnut flour polenta served with brocciu and figatellu. The fair also offers a regional chestnut flour competition, conferences and symposia, culinary demonstrations, children's entertainment and concerts.
