Festa di u Ficu

2026 Edition

The Festa di u Ficu will take place on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th, 2026, in the plains of Peri, in Corse-du-Sud. These dates have been confirmed by the organizers on the fair's official website and through the event listing published by Foires de Corse, the federation of certified fairs on the island.

The event is organized by the Foyer rural de Peri "Ghjuventu Peraccia" and the U Fiurone association. It is held under the aegis of the FFRAAC (Federation of Rural, Agricultural, and Artisanal Fairs of Corsica) and exclusively features artisan producers. Exhibitors are only permitted to sell products resulting from their own work, a requirement the organizers emphasize as a guarantee of the festival's quality.

A Mediterranean project unveiled during the fair

In 2026, the U Fiurone association is spearheading a Mediterranean project in the municipality of Peri, with plans to be unveiled during the Festa di u Ficu.

What to expect at the fair

The fair features producer and artisan stalls both indoors and outdoors, public musical entertainment, and dining options. The jam-making competition is a major highlight: it is the only one among Corsica's certified fairs to include both a professional producer category and an amateur category. Fig tree saplings are available for purchase on-site in partnership with the Castellucciu nursery, complete with planting advice. Activities center around figs and animals, much to the delight of children. The organizers have also established the Cunfraterna di u Ficu, the Brotherhood of the Fig.
