The Feast of Saint-Alexandre, patron of the town of Cervione (Haute-Corse), is celebrated annually on October 11th. In 2026, this patronal feast honors Santu Lisandru Sauli, Bishop of Aleria and Apostle of Corse, around the Saint-Érasme cathedral where the precious relic of the saint is preserved.
On October 11th, 2026, Cervione celebrates its patron saint, Saint Alexandre Sauli — known in Corsican as Santu Lisandru. Declared celestial patron of the town by the Sacred Congregation of Rites in 1963, this Barnabite (1534-1593), Bishop of Aleria and Apostle of Corse, is honored annually on October 11th.
The celebration takes place in the Saint-Érasme cathedral in Cervione, which has preserved the relic of the saint's right clavicle, an object of particular veneration, since 1882. The patronal feast combines solemn mass, veneration of the relic, and procession, in the tradition upheld by the Confrérie Santu Lisandru and the parish of Cervione.
The detailed program (office times, procession) is generally specified by the town hall and the parish closer to the date.
