Christmas in Bondy: a generous and popular neighborhood celebration

Every winter, the city of Bondy celebrates its town center to mark Christmas in community. The Bondy Christmas Market is one of the most anticipated events of the year by the people of Bondy, who gather there with family and friends to share moments of joy and conviviality before the holidays.

A popular and accessible Christmas market

Located at the square of March 19, 1962 and on the forecourt of the Town Hall, the Bondy Christmas Market hosts about twenty chalets offering a selection of gifts and festive products. Exhibitors offer artisanal items, Christmas decorations, toys, books, and food specialties for the holidays. The market is usually held on December 13th and 14th, from 10 AM to 8 PM, with completely free admission.

Entertainment that delights children

The great originality of the Bondy Christmas Market lies in its unique and warm entertainment:

• Farm animals: sheep, goats, rabbits, and geese are present in a dedicated area, allowing the city's children to discover or rediscover farm animals in a magical setting
• Pony rides: the youngest can take short rides on pony back, supervised by professionals
• Creative workshops: animators offer workshops for making Christmas decorations, cards, and festive objects
• Elves' Band: a strolling band dressed as elves brings a festive and quirky musical atmosphere that delights both young and old
• Santa Claus is of course present to receive children in his chalet and give them some treats

An extended Christmas program throughout December

The market is part of a broader festive program orchestrated by the City of Bondy. From December 12th to January 3rd, the municipality offers a full program of winter festivities including:

• A parade and Christmas illuminations on December 12th, with a festive procession through the streets of the town center
• Neighborhood entertainment so that each sector of the city can celebrate the holidays
• Cultural shows and free concerts in municipal facilities
• Family workshops offered by local associations

These festivities are organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Leisure of the City of Bondy, which coordinates all events to ensure a balanced program throughout the municipal territory.
