Christmas in Drancy: Two Festive Markets for Successful Holidays

The town of Drancy offers a Christmas program each year in December that unfolds in two complementary highlights: a large Christmas market on the esplanade of the nautical stadium and a more intimate neighborhood market at place Maurice-Nilès. These two events allow residents of each Drancy neighborhood to enjoy a Christmas festive atmosphere close to home.

The Grand Christmas Market - Esplanade of the Nautical Stadium

For its third edition, the grand Drancy Christmas market has set up its stalls on the new esplanade of the nautical stadium, located at 37 boulevard Paul Vaillant Couturier. This modern and airy space offers an ideal setting to host the illuminated chalets and Christmas activities. The market opens its doors on Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM, Saturdays from 11 AM to 8 PM, and Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM, with free admission.

This large market brings together artisans, creators, producers, and exhibitors who offer a wide range of gifts and festive products: handmade jewelry, Christmas decorations, gourmet products (foie gras, chocolates, wines, cheeses), decorative items, and toys. Families can stroll among the chalets in a festive atmosphere, accompanied by Christmas music and carefully designed illuminations.

The Neighborhood Market - Place Maurice-Nilès

The neighborhood Christmas market is held at place Maurice-Nilès, in front of the Drancy cultural park. More intimate, it invites residents of the area to gather in a friendly atmosphere. Organized over two days — Friday, December 12th from 4:30 PM to 7 PM and Saturday, December 13th from 9:30 AM to 6 PM — this local market offers craft stalls and festive products in a warm neighborhood setting.

Activities for Children

The family dimension is at the heart of the Drancy Christmas markets. Children benefit from a program of activities specially designed for them: face painting workshops, storytelling sessions, and visits from Santa Claus on Saturday afternoons. Santa Claus sets up in his decorated chalet, ready to welcome little visitors for souvenir photos and candy distribution. Puppet shows and musical entertainment complete the program for the younger ones.
